Happy Birthday to my Mom

I have been knitting this bag for my Mom's birthday. The bag is knitted rather large with WOOL yarn and then felted down so that it becomes a tight wool bag that is perfect for all occasions. However, I like to take the labels off of my yarn and I ended up using some acrylic yarn and some wool yarn. What does it all mean? The bag was a complete failure and now I have nothing to give my mom for her birthday. If anyone has any suggestions of what to do with this rather large floppy bag or any ideas of what I can get my mom for her birthday, please let me know

Would make a great grocery bag - much classier than the plain beige sack cloth that so many are made of.

As far as Bday suggestions - this picture would be great in a nice frame - maybe one that your talented husband made.

I think it would make a dead sexy tube top, which are coming back into style. Why not start a revolution? It would also be a neat way to cover a trash can giving your normal bin a real Martha look. Add a frill to the bottom and it could also be a swell lamp shade. Don't give up on it Meeshell!
